Dear Brothers
of Thomas H. Ruger Camp #1,
I am honored
to have been appointed as Signals Officer for Thomas H. Ruger Camp #1.
I hope to perform
my duties as Signals Officer in a professional manner and look forward to
assisting the Camp Commander, Officers and my fellow Brothers during my term of
service.
For now, I
believe my most important duty will be as the Webmaster of our new Internet
websites;

These
websites will be used to communicate with the members of Ruger Camp #1, the
Department of North Carolina and the Sons of Union Veterans of the Civil War
Headquarters. These Website are in addition to, NOT a replacement for, our
established means of communicating with the Camp membership. Our Camp Secretary
Brother France will continue to be the source of Ruger Camp #1 communications.
These
websites will also be available for viewing by the general Internet public. The
Websites will be controlled, restricted and monitored to assure the security of
all individual members’ private information. The intent is to inform, educate
and promote our organizations’ commitment as “…dedicated to preserving the
history and legacy of veteran heroes who fought and worked to save the Union in
the American Civil War.”

meet the needs of the Sons of Union Veterans of the Civil War, Major General
Thomas H. Ruger Camp #1 and my fellow Brothers.
